Hotel Information:

 Location: Surf and Sand Resort, 1555 S Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651

• All hotel reservations are booked and edited through Stephanie Lonon, SRN Executive Assistant. The hotel will NOT take direct bookings. The resort will bill you upon check out.

• Pre or Post symposium hotel reservation nights are to be include on the registration form. SRN will book those dates and send confirmation #s. You must contact the hotel with a credit card to place on file to hold the reservations. Surf & Sand bill you directly upon check out. Discounted Rates Mon - Thursday $399 +tax a night, Friday & Saturday $425 +tax a night

• Hotel check-in time upon arrival is 4:00 pm. Hotel rooms are not available for check in before 4pm unless the hotel has had an early check out. If you arrive before your room is available, the hotel will store your luggage, and you are welcome to use any of the facilities while you wait. If you arrive on the first day of the symposium, your room may not be ready before we start. The hotel will hold your luggage.

• Wednesday and Thursday Session business casual. Thursday Banquet Dinner cocktail or business. Friday casual.

School Research Nexus is a 3-day symposium with 40-50 Superintendent attendees from across the nation. Our forum is structured for all Superintendents and Sponsor Partners to participate in the entire agenda together. We provide an intimate and relational setting for Superintendents and Partners to build relationships and network connections.

ATTENDEE LIST

The attendee list will be emailed to all sponsors two weeks before the event. This will not be sent out any sooner than two weeks.

PLATINUM SPONSOR PRESENTATION INFORMATION

Platinum sponsors with a presentation slot in the agenda will need to send a copy of the presentation to SRN ahead of time for approval and to be loaded onto the conference computer. The presentation is 20 minutes. This is separate from the Roundtable session.

The presentation cannot be sales-oriented. We are looking for informational presentations that directly impact the education landscape in today’s schools—presenting engagingly and entertainingly to some of the top superintendents in the nation. If you want to set up a call with our Executive Director, Dr. Don Hooper, to collaborate on presentation ideas, don't hesitate to contact us to set up a call.

Your presentation will run from the conference computer (not a personal computer); you will have a microphone, projector, and sound in your slides.

REPRESENTATIVES ATTENDING PER SPONSOR ( form will only let you submit up to 3 staff registrations)

Platinum: 3 representatives

Gold: 2 representatives

Silver: 1 representative

ROUNDTABLE INFORMATION

Each Gold and Platinum sponsor will be assigned a Roundtable on Wednesday or Thursday. SRN will notify you before the event with your designated round table day and time.

How the round table works: Each sponsor will be given a Roundtable with chairs on their assigned day. Dr. Hooper, SRN Executive Director, will talk briefly about each sponsor and then direct the attendees to divide themselves among the round tables. You will have (3) 15-minute attendee rotations.

This is a time for you to build a relationship with the attendees, listen to each district’s concerns, and let them know what your company can provide them. You are welcome to have handouts or show product information from laptops or small monitors. The table will have a power outlet.

PARTNER HOST DINNER (WEDNESDAY NIGHT)

Our tradition is not to schedule all the meeting time to allow you to host attendees assigned to you by SRN to dinner on Wednesday night. We will notify you of the attendees assigned to your dinner. It is then the sole responsibility of the Sponsor to plan the dinner, cover all costs and reach out to the designated attendees with dinner details. SRN will only send the attendee what partner they have been assigned to dinner with and that the sponsor will be reaching out to them. Need help picking a dinner location?
