The Centergy Project was co-founded by Leigh Colburn, the former Director and Founder of the Graduate Marietta Student Success Center in Marietta, Georgia. The Student Success Center is revolutionizing the way we support our high school students within the public education system.  As a former administrator of 15 years, Mrs. Colburn recognizes there is a pressing need for new voices in national and local dialogues concerning school reform. These new voices are the voices of the young people in our public schools—students succeeding, students struggling academically and/or emotionally, and the ones that are falling through the cracks. Young people play a vital role in understanding what’s working and what could be better at their schools. These students are critical stakeholders in the process of developing new resources within their school. Over fifty local and statewide agencies have partnered with Colburn and are currently providing Marietta’s students with services related to academics, job skills development, counseling, and family and student support. The innovative model at Marietta High School is gaining state and national attention and has the potential to become a new model for educating today’s teens.

The Centergy Project provides consulting services to schools who wish to join the movement of honoring student voice to meet the academic and non-academic needs of their students and families. By helping forge meaningful partnerships within the local community, schools can create a culture of hope where teens can build a bright future.
